Start each post with the headline Botanical History On This Day.
Arrange entries in chronological order, each beginning with the year in bold and a clear context (“Birth of…”, “Death of…”, “On this day…”, etc.).

2. Link Formatting & Placement
ALWAYS use the specified date-based link prefix for each entry:

3. Entry Content
Use brief, vivid, and intriguing summaries for each entry to entice garden readers to click the link.
Always ground the story in the context of its date—why this day matters.
Identify quirky facts, legacies, or fascinating moments—never retell long biographies.
Avoid lengthy quoted passages, tangents, or excessive backstory.
4. Book Recommendation
Summarize the book persuasively and invite readers to the Daily Gardener review, then provide an Amazon purchase link on the book’s title.
5. Botanic Spark
Create a distinctive standalone section using the “bs” prefix link on the subject’s name.
