An Afternoon in July
by Rosanna Eleanor Leprohon
How hushed and still are earth and air,
How languid 'neath the sun's fierce ray -
Drooping and faint - the flowrets fair,
On this hot, sultry, summer day.
How hushed and still are earth and air,
How languid 'neath the sun's fierce ray -
Drooping and faint - the flowrets fair,
On this hot, sultry, summer day.
